CorelDraw Graphics Suite X3 is an impressive collection of innovative solutions to graphics professionals that allows them to perform all sorts of design jobs. The package is composed of CorelDraw, the main application for vector design and layout; Corel Photo-Paint for image editing and retouching; Corel PowerTrace, a vastly improved bitmap-to-raster converter; Corel Capture X3, a screen-capture utility; BitStream Font Navigator; and Pixmantec RawShooter essentials, a RAW format converter for digital photographers. CorelDraw Graphics Suite X3 offers many enhancements as regards EPS and PDF import and export, color management, spot color support, and output. The toolbox gets five more tools, two of which are star makers: regular and complex; a Fillet/Scallop/Chamfer tool for CAD-esque curve shaping; a handy Crop tool for removing unwanted object areas; and a Smart Fill feature. As regards CorelDraw, X3 version offers new and improved desktop publishing tools. First, new Character and Paragraph dockers provide easy access to text-formatting settings such as kerning, typeface selection, and justification. Now, you can also insert a variety of spaces, breaks, and dashes via the Text menu, which makes text control even easier.
